A collection of old songs, re-recorded partially live in the studio. "Mutilator" is the only new song.

24 songs were actually recorded as part of these sessions, and there were intentions to release a "Part Two" title. As the line up of the time has since moved on, it is unknown if the remaining 12 songs will see the light of day to complete the "Definitive" collection.

Mick Powell was part of the band when the album was recorded but had left by the time of it's release (eventually rejoining a short while later), hence his billing as a guest musician.
